Dragonfly

A dragonfly is an insect belonging to the order Odonata, infraorder Anisoptera. Adult dragonflies are characterized by large, multifaceted eyes, two pairs of strong, transparent wings, sometimes with coloured patches, and an elongated body.

This scan was particularly difficult due to the low density of the wings and fine hairs.

Haven Metrology has used their Nikon X-Ray & CT Scanner to acquire high resolution, water tight internal and external scan data of this organic specimen.
