Reverse Engineering an Exhaust Manifold

We use our surface and CT scanning systems to acquire high accuracy internal and external geometry for reverse engineering and model rework for all industries.

This case study demonstrates combining multiple, separated parts into a single parametric model. The set up of alignments and transitions are critical for a working end result. The final model is then compared back to the original scan data to understand any deviation including wall thickness variations, hole pattern misalignments, and more.

PolyWorks & Geomagic

PolyWorks Metrology suite is used for alignments and scan mesh repair, while Geomagic Design X is used for created sketches and solid, design intent geometry.

The Geomagic tree is history based and can be modified at any time for future updates and requirements.
