Clearance & Interference using Industrial CT
Synergy of Hardware and Software Capabilities
Haven Metrology synergizes the strengths of many inspection hardwares and softwares to produce unique data sets in ways other inspection labs cannot. While we have multiple case studies highlighting these capabilities; this case study showcases importing profile surface data from PolyWorks Inspector to Volume Graphics MAX.
Total clearance and interference mapping using scanning technologies offers a complete view of a parts surface condition, unlike other measurement tools that are limited by quantity of data. Engineers can use these maps to make informed decisions about build quality, torque or assembly adjustments, and tooling or machining changes.

Full Dimensional Analysis using Industrial CT
Cross-sections through water tight surfaced CT datasets of complex parts and assemblies offers the opportunity for dimensional inspection in locations no other device can access.
GD&T, fitment analysis, failure analysis, and reverse engineering processes all benefit from this method.

Clearance & Interference Mapping
Clearance/ Interference Mapping applies a color-coded map of the part. Green to Red tells the reviewer where there is space between components. Green to Blue tells the reviewer where there is friction between components.
Points with XYZ & IJK values can be collected and exported for other analyses.
